The Syrian people started to migrate rapidly in 2011 after the war in Syria. 3.6 million Syrians refugees came to Turkey. Sudden population increases were observed in the provinces and districts located at the border. Refugee camp was established for Syrians in Turkey, but these camps are insufficient in terms of human life.

REYHANLI
Reyhanlı, a small border town in the province of Hatay, located on the southeast of Turkey. Reyhanlı is the main gate between the two countries. Thus, the town becomes the main entry point for the incoming surge of refugees as the civil war escalates. With the arrival of refugees, various problems began to occur in Reyhanlı. Lack of infrastructure, education, healthy, shelter and language main problems.

ADMINISTRATION
The area designed for Syrian refugees will be managed by municipalities, private companies and individuals. The main management will be provided by the municipality. The housing areas will be under municipal control, while the social areas will be managed by different people on the municipality, companies and individuals.
​
In the future, this area is intended to contribute to the trade and tourism of the Reyhanlı. After the refugees leave, this area will become the cultural center of the Reyhan with its local produce and workshops and market. Stone houses is considered to meet the need for tourist accommodation.
